Superlek honored to be aligned with some of the greatest Muay Thai fighters of all time: "I'm on my way"

ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 has risen from obscurity to become one of the greatest strikers on the planet, pound-for-pound. 'The Kicking Machine' is indeed a generational talent, who possesses mastery of 'The Art of Eight Limbs' in its purest form.

His diverse attacks are also backed by a remarkable understanding of the fight game. These qualities, along with his incredible run in ONE, have put him in rarified air among the greats of Muay Thai.

Most pundits even believe Superlek can make his case as the GOAT of the sport once it's all said and done. Speaking during the ONE 168: Denver press conference, the ever-humble Thai star said he still has a long way to go to catch up with the biggest names of Muay Thai. He said:

"I feel like there are a lot more fighters that have earned more respect than me, but I'm on my way. I'm still working my way and still making a name for myself as well in Muay Thai."

Superlek could further cement his status as the best striker of this generation if he can unseat bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 168: Denver.

This epic clash of titans will headline the promotion's return to the United States on Sept. 6 at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.

"I'd say he's up there with the pound for pound, best in the world at the moment. Hence why this fight excites me, and I'm excited to showcase some skill and show why I am the best."

He even went on to say:

"I'd put him up there as pound for pound, one of the best at the moment, for sure"
