Superlek says he feels 'more powerful' since bantamweight switch: "I'm hitting much harder with punches and kicks"
Jonathan Haggerty's power at bantamweight has been a sight to behold — but Superlek Kiatmoo9 promises to display a similar level of firepower when he goes toe-to-toe with him at ONE 168: Denver.
The ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion moves to the bantamweight rank to challenge for 'The General's' Muay Thai gold in the main event of the September 6 bill inside Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. And he's loving every bit of the power that has come since the move.
Speaking to the South China Morning Post (SCMP), the Kiatmoo9 Gym affiliate shared:
"It's difficult to say [whether I'm struggling], I think because moving up a weight class, I feel I'm more powerful as well. I'm hitting much harder with punches and kicks."

Superlek aims to make full use of his new power with a knockout win in Denver
With his 'Art of Eight Limbs' weapon being as potent as ever, Superlek has the perfect scenario in mind to secure ONE gold inside Ball Arena — by putting Jonathan Haggerty to sleep.
Though he knows it'll be easier said than done, with the Londoner's tools powering him to three successive knockouts in as many matches, he remains game to get his rematch out of the way in the shortest time possible.
In the same exchange with SCMP, Superlek continued:
"You know, if there's a chance, of course, I would want to finish the game in any round, of course. I know that he wants to also get a knockout as well."
North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription can catch the entire ONE 168: Denver card live and free in U.S. primetime this Friday, September 6.
