Surging UFC middleweight takes aim at Israel Adesanya right after Elon Musk's X is back in Brazil
Israel Adesanya has been challenged once again by a Brazilian. This comes after the Brazilian Supreme Federal Court lifted the ban on Elon Musk's social media platform X. Adesanya isn't a stranger to Brazilian rivals, but his new challenger is keen on making the most of the opportunity.
Well, Adesanya's adversary is none other than the surging UFC middleweight, Caio Borralho. 'The Natural' is currently at the peak of his confidence with a seven-fight win streak and wants 'The Last Stylebender' next.
Borralho called out Adesanya for the first time after his victory against Jared Cannonier at UFC Vegas 96. However, the Brazilian government imposed a ban on X from August 30, which made him hopeless about receiving a reply from the Nigerian-New Zealander.
But the easing of the ban on X revived Borralho's hopes of an encounter against Adesanya. The 31-year-old put out a tweet celebrating the removal of the ban and also questioned whether Adesanya will accept his callout now.
"Finally back to X! Brazil is freeee 😂😂 lol. Do you guys think that Izzy is finally going to respond my call out?? 🤔"
Israel Adesanya has moved over his fierce rivalry with Alex Pereira
Israel Adesanya has been involved in a long-running rivalry with Alex Pereira. After two encounters inside the kickboxing ring, their rivalry stretched into the UFC octagon as well.
Pereira currently dominates the rivalry with a 3-1 score, but lately, Adesanya revealed that he isn't worried about leveling up the scores anymore.
'The Last Stylebender' recently caught up with the former UFC flyweight champ, Demetrious Johnson, where he said:
"I beat him once. But watch this, if I fight him again and knock him out what's that? What are they going to say? Oh, it's 2-3. Not enough. [We need] best out of seven. I'm like, Bro... I've only got certain more fights left."
