"Swedish granite" - Fans bow to Smilla Sundell's unbreakable toughness in gut-wrenching ab workout

Reigning ONE women's strawweight Muay Thai world champion Smilla Sundell is putting her world title on the line at ONE Fight Night 22 on May 3, and the Swedish youngster is pulling out all the stops in her training.

Undefeated through four contests under the world's largest martial arts promotion, Sundell's next challenger will be Natalia Diachkova, who sports a record identical to hers with three finishes out of her four wins.

Fans last saw 'The Hurricane' defend her spot atop the mountain against Allycia Hellen Rodrigues last September 2023, putting an end to the Brazilian star's hopes of two-division dominance with a thunderous third-round TKO.

Sundell has been preparing for Diachkova's potential game plan of targetting her body in her recent training session which was posted by ONE Championship on Instagram.

Smilla Sundell foresees tough outing at ONE Fight Night 22

As Sundell and the 'Karelian Lynx' lock horns over the right to become the new ONE women's strawweight Muay Thai world champion inside the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, the young phenom is fully aware that she is in for the fight of her life on May 3.

Sundell said the following about her world title clash with Diachkova in a recent interview with the South China Morning Post:

"I think all my fights are tough. So yeah, a tough test it is going to be against Natalia Diachkova."

ONE Fight Night 22 will air live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
