Tai Tuivasa sets boundaries for online critics spamming his social media: "I fight the top fighters in the world, keep your advice to yourselves"

UFC heavyweight Tai Tuivasa has called out his critics after sharing a series of their comments in a video on his social media.

'Bam Bam' is one of the most popular fighters on the roster due to a mix his devil-may-care fight style and his antics on fight day. The 31-year-old is credited amongst the MMA community for popularizing doing a 'shoey', which involves drinking beer out of a strangers shoe, whenever he wins inside the cage.

Unfortunately for Tuivasa, however, a 'shoey' has been hard to come by of late as he is in the midst of a career slump. After picking up five wins in a row between 2020-2022, the Australian has now suffered four defeats in a row. Since his drop in form, Tuivasa has become frustrated by fans who have been having their say across his social media.

The heavy hitter recently shared a video on X which compiled a selection of comments from fans criticising him and offering advice on how to change his fortunes in the cage. Tai Tuivasa captioned the post by stating that he doesn't want to hear advice from anybody who isn't at the top of the fight game. He wrote:

"THIS IS 90% OF THE C*NTS IN MY COMMENTS AND DMS TELLING ME HOW TO FIGHT 🤦🏽 I FIGHT THE TOP FIGHTERS IN THE WORLD. UNLESS YOU ARE ONE OF THEM OR HAVE DONE IT BEFORE KEEP YOUR OPINIONS TO YOUR SELF 🙏🏽🙏🏽💖💖🤦🏽🤦🏽"

When Tai Tuivasa rated WWE superstars Grayson Waller and Rhea Ripley doing a 'Shoey'

Tai Tuviasa once weighed in on WWE superstars Grayson Waller and Rhea Ripley doing a 'shoey' toast to a crowd in Perth, Australia.

During an interview with Submission Radio earlier this year, Tuivasa was asked for his thoughts on the WWE's Australian duo Waller and Ripley, who are back in their home country for the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. At the pre-show event and in front of a live crowd, both superstars took off their own shoes and performed a 'shoey' to the cheering fans.

According to the UFC star, whilst a 'shoey' is meant to be done with a strangers shoe and not your own, he still scored their efforts a solid "10/10". He said:

"They use their own shoe? That's not a good start...No spillage?! That's very good for both of them. 10/10."
