Despite the defeat she suffered at the hands of Mayssa Bastos at ONE Fight Night 24 in August, Danielle Kelly remains one of the best submission grappling artists in the world today.

Kelly recently shared an update on her Instagram account and may have hinted at eyeing a rematch with Bastos to reclaim the ONE atomweight submission grappling world championship that she previously held.

In the caption, she wrote:

In the photo, she was seen looking sharp and ready for a call from the world's largest martial arts organization to compete once more.

Before her loss to the Brazilian, Kelly made history in Sept. 2023 at ONE Fight Night 14 when she became the inaugural ONE atomweight submission grappling world champion. She did so by beating IBJJF world champion Jessa Khan via unanimous decision at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Kelly may have dropped her world title match with Bastos, but she gained a lot of fans in the process. She received incredible support from fans, who consoled her after the defeat.

Many believe that the Silver Fox BJJ representative is still the champion and expect her to recapture her throne soon. Kelly holds a 3-1-1 slate in ONE Championship, including victories over Mariia Molchanova, Ayaka Miura, and Khan, plus the draw with Mei Yamaguchi.
