Takeru says there's only one solution to halting Thant Zin's 'strong' power: "I have to look to knock him out"
Takeru Segawa is impressed by Thant Zin's immense knockout power. Still, the Japanese star believes he has the perfect solution to counter that in their flyweight kickboxing showdown at ONE Friday Fights 81 on September 27.
The striking duo join the promotion's stacked card inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, this Friday. On paper, fans are in for an absolute must-watch clinic that should feature an interesting clash of styles.
'The Natural Born Crusher' does his best work through his slick movement and combinations. The Burmese slugger, meanwhile, always charges forward with an eye for a knockout.
Speaking to the South China Morning Post ahead of fight night, Takeru offered the best way to overcome his dance partner's firepower. The Team Vasileus star said:
"His punches and kicks are both strong, so I have to watch out for those. Thant Zin is an aggressive fighter, so I have to look to knock him out."

It will be the best possible way for the former three-division K-1 world champion to secure his first victory in his ONE campaign after coming out short in his promotional bow against 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 165.
Though this fight should be an easier test, 'The Natural Born Crusher' must ensure he brings his A-Game to the table, as Thant Zin has proved on a couple of occasions that he doesn't need an invitation to connect with his show-stopping power.

In a separate interview with the promotion, the 33-year-old noted:
"It was a good period to improve my level based on the previous experience. I think I can show a stronger version of myself."
