Teenage prodigy Adrian Lee reveals why he never gets rattled during his fights: "Keeping my head straight"
Teenage prodigy Adrian Lee recently revealed why he never truly gets rattled before or during his MMA fights.
One of the most intimidating things about being a professional fighter is to finally actualize everything one has put into training, in a single match. For someone as young as Adrian Lee, you would think that he would have moments of self-doubt or hesitancy before executing an offensive game plan.
But Lee says that there's no fear behind his performances because he's got a strong support system behind him.
Speaking to Nick Atkin at the ONE 168 post-media scrum, Lee said:
"A big part of my calmness and composure comes from my brother and my dad as a coach, because they do an amazing job of keeping my head straight and keeping me focused on the game plan."
Indeed, Adrian Lee is an MMA phenomenon. On September 6, he did everything he set out to do, aggressively extending his finishing streak to two after submitting American rising star Nico Cornejo in the first round of their lightweight MMA bout at ONE 168 Denver.

Adrian Lee gets the job done as he said he would at ONE 168: Denver
Adrian Lee has his camp in Hawaii to thank for essentially preparing him for his second professional bout at ONE 168.
The first time the fans were introduced to Adrian, he shocked them with a second-round submission victory over Australia's Antonio Mammarella at ONE 167 in Thailand.
But as Lee mentioned before, he wanted to finish the fight in the first round. So, during his fight camp for ONE 168, Adrian and his team stressed setting a game plan that would allow him to finish a fight faster—and that's exactly what they reinforced.
Speaking to ONE, Adrian said:
"During this camp, we've been practically focused on everything, but the main thing we've focused on is just how to get the job finished as soon as possible."
