Teenage prodigy Adrian Lee says American fans will see why ONE athletes are "ahead of the game" at ONE 168

Lightweight MMA rising star Adrian Lee vows to give the American audience a glimpse of why ONE Championship is indeed the home of the best martial artists in the world.

On September 6, as part of the promotion's return to US soil at ONE 168: Denver, 'The Phenom' will take on American Nico Cornejo in a three-round battle that has fireworks written all over it.

The 18-year-old wunderkind, for one, promises to showcase his well-rounded skills and produce an epic finish for the action-hungry American crowd.

Adrian Lee said in a ONE interview:

"I'm excited to show the American fans what ONE fighters can do. I can't wait to show all the American fans how truly ahead of the game we are."

Apart from housing prodigies like Lee, the world's largest martial arts organization truly represents the elite of the elite across multiple combat sports.

While ONE athletes deliver spectacular displays of exhilarating violence, they also embody what martial arts is about by embracing the Bushido code on and off the circle.

Meanwhile, Lee fit right in under the ONE banner in his remarkable promotional debut at ONE 167 this past June. The Prodigy Training Center affiliate choked out Antonio Mammarella and announced himself as a legitimate threat in the 170-pound MMA ranks.

Lee will look to carry that momentum in his sophomore appearance at ONE 168: Denver.

Adrian Lee ready for any surprises that Nico Cornejo may bring

Adrian Lee knows firsthand how important it is to make a good first impression in the promotion.

As such, he expects debutant Nico Cornejo to throw everything but the kitchen sink at him at ONE 168.

"I saw that Cornejo is a hard hitter and that he has a pretty good wrestling game, even though he doesn't have any specific wrestling accolades," he told ONE.
"Our camp will definitely be centered around countering that."
