Terence Crawford shares one-word answer to Errol Spence Jr. rematch suggestions
Terence Crawford became a four-division world champion on Aug. 3 when he defeated former WBA super welterweight champion Israil Madrimov via decision. It was Crawford's first appearance in the ring in over a year, having become an undisputed welterweight champion against Errol Spence Jr. in July 2023.
Crawford's victory over Spence Jr. was the best performance of his career, and following the bout, there were immediate discussions of a second fight.
'The Truth' activated his rematch clause several weeks after the defeat. However, the expiry date for agreeing to a deal was reached, and with Spence Jr. undergoing eye surgery, thoughts of a rematch were cast aside.
Since their clash in 2023, both men have announced their move to 154 pounds, with Spence Jr. expected to face WBC and WBO champion Sebastian Fundora in his divisional debut.
Given that both 'Bud' and Spence Jr. find themselves in the same weight class once again, the new WBA super welterweight champion was asked if he would entertain a rematch with his former foe after defeating Madrimov.
He shared one word:
"Nah."

Eddie Hearn left frustrated by scorecards in Terence Crawford's win over Israil Madrimov
Israil Madrimov and Terence Crawford headlined a stacked boxing card in Los Angeles, California on Aug. 3 in a highly anticipated super welterweight title clash.
Both men entered the ring undefeated, and with discussions about Crawford fighting Canelo Alvarez next, fans were eager to see how 'Bud' would perform against bigger and more powerful opponents.
While the Nebraska native secured a unanimous decision victory, 116-112, 115-113, and 115-113 on the judges' scorecards, Madrimov gave 'Bud' one of his more competitive fights in recent memory.
The Uzbek's promoter, Eddie Hearn, was left feeling frustrated with the unanimous decision verdict. He was interviewed by iFL TV following the result, where he said:
"It's not a robbery. But I feel like we get no recognition on the scorecards as champions in a really close fight. One judge gives Crawford the last four rounds. There is absolutely no way he won [Rounds] 9 and 10... I don't feel like that was a performance from Terence Crawford to dethrone a champion."
