“That loss broke me” - Mohamed Younes Rabah eager to redeem himself after losing undefeated record to Saemapetch
After losing his undefeated record earlier this year, Algerian standout Mohamed Younes Rabah is determined to redeem himself.
'The Eagle' will have the chance to do exactly that on Friday, Nov. 8 when ONE Championship heads back to the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand for a loaded ONE 169 card, headlined by three massive world title clashes.
In one of the more intriguing undercard bouts scheduled for the evening, Younes Rabah will square off with 38-year-old American Muay Thai star Eddie Abasolo.
Younes Rabah will be looking to bounce back after a devastating loss to Thai legend Saemapetch Fairtex that cost him his 14-fight unbeaten streak. Looking back on his defeat at ONE Fight Night 19 in February, 'The Eagle' told ONE Championship:
“That loss broke me, but I came back stronger. I trained very hard for this fight because I think, in this fight, I’m fighting for my life because this fight means a lot to me."
Eddie Abasolo determined to hand Mohamed Younes Rabah a second straight loss
Like his opponent, Eddie Abasolo will be looking to climb back into the win column following a pair of frustrating losses in his last two outings.
After earning his first win under the ONE banner via a second-round knockout of Nicklas Larsen, 'Silky Smooth' suffered a unanimous decision loss against Sitthichai Sitsonpeenong at ONE Friday Fights 22. He followed that up with a solid performance against Dubuque, Iowa native Luke Lessei, but unfortunately for Abasolo, he fell short on two of the three judges' scorecards.
With the contendership window closing quickly, Abasolo is expected to walk into ONE 169 hellbent on handing Mohamed Younes Rabah his second career loss.
Fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE 169: Malykhin vs. ‘Reug Reug’ live on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, Nov. 8 in U.S. primetime.
