"That's actually insane" - Fans marvel at Superlek perfecting the overhand elbow in KO of Jonathan Haggerty
Newly crowned ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 has made quick work of former two-sport bantamweight world champion Jonathan Haggerty in the main event of ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6 inside the Ball Arena in Colorado.
Superlek connected a picture-perfect step-through elbow right on the side of Haggerty's head to end the match in just 49 seconds. That knockout blow was not a coincidence or a lucky shot since he had been practicing it multiple times before the fight.
A solid proof of that is the recent video that Yokkao published on Instagram, and they captioned it with:
"Superlek's KO recipe revealed... 💥👊 Credit VDO: @onechampionship #Yokkao #muaythai #fight #ko #knockout"
In the video, 'The Kicking Machine' was seen doing reps of that exact move on the pads before they transitioned to the actual footage of the fight for the winning moment.
This incredible moment was lauded by fans, especially users @michaelalvarez707, @ayeee_ruben, @kayanudomjairak, and @rslashknowse, who commented:
"So this is how you knock someone out under a minute 😂"
"That's actually insane!!!! 🔥"
"He didn't brag, he really practiced."

Joe Rogan gives massive praise to Superlek after KO of Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 168: Denver
Superlek's victory over Haggerty has sent shockwaves throughout the combat sports community, and even Joe Rogan couldn't help but praise the Thai superstar.
In one of the recent episodes of his podcast, Rogan described Superlek as a tough fighter, as he shared:
"Superlek is this bada** Muay Thai fighter, and he fought Jonathan Haggerty. I saw an interesting breakdown. He caught him with that over-the-top elbow, like real quick in the fight. I think was like 40 seconds. Beautiful KO. So they had a real good fight in the first fight, it was six years ago, and Haggerty became the champion. And everybody thought it's gonna be a much, much different fight."
