“That's how it's been” - Kade Ruotolo says he works on MMA game any chance he gets

Reigning and undisputed ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion turned mixed martial artist Kade Ruotolo of the United States is obsessed with furthering his career in the all-encompassing sport of MMA.

Already one of the most accomplished jiu-jitsu practitioners in the world today at just 21 years of age, Ruotolo shifted his focus to MMA earlier this year with a victory over Blake Cooper at ONE 167.

Now, just months later, the Californian is back and ready to showcase his improvements.

Speaking to MMA Junkie in a recent interview, Ruotolo revealed that he has been working hard on his MMA game any chance he gets.

The 21-year-old said:

"There's always like a few that we lock in no matter what, right? Like either its CGI or ADCC and as far as you know we got our ONE Championship belts, that we always have to defend, right? So once we lock in those dates and defend the belt, get the big ones out of the way, the rest is pretty much for MMA. And that's how it's been at least this past year."

Ruotolo returns this weekend for his second MMA contest in the world's largest martial arts organization.
