Kelly is close friends with reigning ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo and plans to follow in his footsteps by keeping her throne against Brazilian challenger Mayssa Bastos this weekend.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Kelly said she just wants to do her best on the mats and retain her ONE gold.

"So I'm really excited to just kind of, just like Kade Ruotolo had said before, he wants to always put on an exciting performance. So that's kinda like the mindset I'm going in, and just try to break her if I can. And win, if I can't break her."

Kelly and Ruotolo are two of the best submission grapplers in the world.

Ruotolo is set to see action at ONE 168: Denver this September, while Kelly heads to action next week in Thailand.
