"That's what makes me feel alive" - Mikey Musumeci says tackling obstacles with “uncertainty and doubt” brings out the best in him

As an individual who refuses to rest on his laurels, it's no surprise that ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci is addicted to meeting problems head-on.

That do-or-die mindset, after all, has helped the New Jersey native flourish regardless of the obstacles. Whether it was in the classroom or on the mats, the Evolve MMA athlete never fails to go above and beyond to tackle anything that comes in his way of perfection.

During a recent Q&A session on his Instagram Stories earlier this week, Mikey Musumeci was asked about what happiness means to him. Apart from helping his loved ones, 'Darth Rigatoni' admitted that facing new problems – and solving them – does bring him some form of satisfaction.

The 28-year-old posted:

"What makes me happy is working towards a goal that I have passion about (passion God put in my heart). I always feel like I need to be working towards something that has uncertainty and doubt, and then working to overcome it every day."

He continued:

"That's what makes me feel alive! Also, helping and giving love to others and the people I care about gives me fulfillment."

Truth be told, not many can find joy in putting their minds through developing results for any drawbacks that pop up. But then again, not many are built like Mikey Musumeci.

The ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion's ability to methodologically break down everything, especially inside the ONE Circle, has been a sight to behold.

And he'll undoubtedly bring the same mindset into his next world title assignment in about two months.
