"That's the only way" - Lito Adiwang gets candid on Hiroba Minowa's chances against KO machine Jeremy Miado
Hiroba Minowa looks to bounce back at ONE Fight Night 23 following a tough run of results in recent times.
The young Japanese strawweight debuted in ONE Championship with plenty of promise and began to deliver on that.
Back-to-back wins, albeit via split decision, had him off to a strong start in the promotion where he even gained a spot in the top five rankings.
Things have not gone his way since after he came up against three of the top contenders in the division in the forms of Jarred Brooks, Bokang Masunyane and Gustavo Balart.
Losing to any of those men is not much of a backwards step but Minowa will want to get back on track when he returns on July 5 to take on Jeremy Miado.
In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Lito Adiwang who has faced both men, gave his thoughts on how the Japanese competitor can get his hand raised inside Lumpinee Stadium:
"For Minowa, I believe that he needs to take this fight to the ground and control Miado to try and finish him there via submission or score points on him. That's the only way Minowa can win in this match."
The path is clear for Hiroba Minowa
Hiroba Minowa looking to take this fight to the ground is something that Jeremy Miado is very aware of.
He also finds himself without a win in his last three outings mostly because of his inability to keep the fight standing where he can utilize his dangerous striking.
Miado has been hard at work to try and fix this so that he can be the one to secure the vital bounce back win in a clash of contenders that want to keep their place at the top of the division.
We will find out on fight night whether Minowa is able to implement his game plan and get his hand raised.
ONE Fight Night 23 will air live and free at US prime time for North American viewers with an active Prime Video subscription.
