“The emotions during the fight are crazy” - Adriano Moraes admits it's tough to prepare for the uncertainties of the fight game

Adriano Moraes knows that no matter how much you prepare for a fight, you can never predict how things will ultimately play out.

After more than a year on the shelf, the former eight-time ONE world champion will return to martial arts' biggest global stage for a highly anticipated clash against flyweight standout Danny Kingad. The two warriors will meet in a matchup that could very well determine the next challenger for the vacant ONE flyweight MMA world championship.

Their showdown at ONE 169 on Friday, November 8 will be Moraes' first fight since coming up short in an iconic trilogy bout against P4P great Demetrious Johnson at ONE Fight Night 10 last year.

Asked about his preparation for the fight, Moraes told Party Starter Radio:

"It’s hard to say because in a fight, you train hard, and you can have the best fight camp ever. But in a fight, it’s always 50/50. The emotions during the fight are crazy. Fighters have different behaviors during this time."

Danny Kingad looks to avenge his 2017 loss against Adriano Moraes at ONE 169

Adriano Moraes and Danny Kingad have previously met under the ONE Championship banner, squaring off at ONE: Legends of the World on November 10, 2017. On that night, 'Mikinho' came out on top via a first-round submission victory to retain the ONE flyweight MMA world championship.

Kingad responded by scoring six-straight wins but has since struggled to stay in the win column, alternating wins and losses in his last five outings.

With a new gym and a renewed vigor, 'The King' hopes to get another shot at 26 pounds of ONE Championship gold. But to get there, he'll have to go through one of the greatest flyweights in the history of the sport.
