“The goal remains the same” - Jeremy Miado still eyes ONE Championship gold
Filipino strawweight MMA sensation 'The Jaguar' Jeremy Miado has not wavered in his ultimate goal of winning a world title in ONE Championship.
The 31-year-old firebrand is regarded as one of the most exciting fighters in the world's largest martial arts organization. However, a recent three fight skid has certainly taken from his lustre. Now, Miado is looking to get back on the winning track and make a statement against a highly ranked opponent in Japan's Hiroba Minowa.
Speaking to YouTube channel, The MMA Superfan, in a recent interview, Miado talked about getting ready for the Minowa fight and entering the ring at his best.
'The Jaguar' said:
"The goal remains the same. I still want to earn a world title shot. I still have a strong belief that my time will come and I will become a world champion. That main goal remains the same. I had ample time to prepare and I’m confident that I’ll enter this match-up at 100 percent. I’m ready for Minowa."
Needless to say, when Miado is on point, he's one of the best strawweights in the world. If he can defeat Minowa next weekend, the Filipino star may well be on his way to finally cracking the strawweight top five.
