"The legend is back in action" - Watch former bantamweight Muay Thai champ Nong-O's redemption arc after his fall from grace

A true mark of a warrior is not defined by wins, but rather by how he picks himself up and rises from the ashes of defeat.

We've seen the great Nong-O Hama stumble after suffering arguably two of the worst losses in his decorated career at the hands of Jonathan Haggerty and Nico Carrillo. Still, the 37-year-old striking icon is not the type to go quietly in the night.

Ahead of Nong-O's return at ONE Friday Fight 81: Superbon vs. Nattawut, ONE Championship paid homage to the Thai legend's undying resolve with an inspiring clip, with the caption:

β€œThe legend is back in action πŸ‘Š Can Nong-O deliver another knockout performance when he goes toe-to-toe with Kiamran Nabati at ONE Friday Fights 81?”

Nong-O will indeed go down as one of the greats in 'The Art of Eight Limbs' once it's all said and done. His magnificent 10-0 start in ONE, with eight of those victories coming in world title fights, was indeed the personification of dominance.

While some of his detractors called for his retirement after back-to-back knockout losses, the defiant Nong-O reminded everyone he's not done yet after that clinical victory over heavy-hitter Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai.

Nong-O can return to world title contention if he ends Kiamran Nabati's undefeated streak

Even at this late stage of his career, Nong-O still has 26 pounds of gold in mind.

The Evolve MMA affiliate made it clear that he's still in the game to be the best in the world. ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs. Nattawut will be a critical juncture in Nong-O's path to redemption.
