"The liver turned to water" - Fans grimace at the clinical brutality Regian Eersel unleashed on Sinsamut in Bangkok

When Regian Eersel and Sinsamut Klinmee first fought in October 2022, a close split decision favored the former and crowned him the inaugural ONE lightweight Muay Thai world champion.

But during their rematch, Eersel made sure to wipe out any doubts with a more convincing victory when he stopped Sinsamut in March 2023 at ONE Friday Fights 9. He did so with a fourth-round knockout finish in front of his home fans inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The full fight replay of this match was reposted by ONE Championship recently on YouTube with the description:

"Lightweight Muay Thai king Regian Eersel is ready to avenge his loss and reclaim the ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title from undefeated striker Alexis Nicolas at ONE Fight Night 25 on Prime Video on October 4! Before their rematch goes down, relive 'The Immortal's' thrilling second encounter with Thai star Sinsamut at ONE Friday Fights 9 in 2023!"

See the video below:

'The Immortal' employed a solid game plan that attacked the Thai star's body, and he found the finish at the 1:17 mark of the fourth round with a beautiful left hook down the liver that folded him in half. Sinsamut failed to beat the eight-count of the referee to award the victory to Eersel.

This incredible performance has got the fans hyped and sent positive messages to the Surinamese striking superstar, especially from users @gado3p, @Cairo-Sponton, @atrainace114, @Querulant1, and @pablodiablo9178, who commented:

"In every shout of those thai fans of sinsamut in every strike he deliver is given back as a big bog K.O 😅😅"
"the liver turned to water"
"At least they got to cheer for him a bit before immortal rearranged that killas guts. Because don't get it twisted Sinsamut is a shadow realm ferryman."
"Eersel so underrated. Maybe we can see a match vs Tawanchai one time, if he bulks into Lightweight"
"Liver shot is no joke. Anyone who's experienced that strike never forgets."

Regian Eersel shares that he trained Brazilian jiu-jitsu but didn't feel the same love as the striking arts

As a martial artist, the Sityodtong Amsterdam representative has explored other facets of combat sports. He recently revealed that he tried the 'gentle art' but didn't find the same spark as what he did for striking.

Eersel shared this during his recent interview with MMA UK ahead of his ONE lightweight kickboxing world title rematch against Alexis Nicolas on Oct. 4 at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, for the main event of ONE Fight Night 25.

The 31-year-old striking maestro shared:

"I didn't feel the love for stand-up fighting as for Brazilian jiu-jitsu, like ground fighting. I still love to train it though."
