The Mac Life's Oscar Willis sheds light on what Conor McGregor said to him following stoppage win over influencer Ben Davis

The Mac Life guy, Oscar Willis, had a bareknuckle fight last weekend and won via stoppage - receiving high praise from Conor McGregor. The MMA content creator, who started out covering McGregor-centric content, faced fellow influencer boxer Ben Davis.

The two fought at BKFC on DAZN in Marbella, Spain. Despite being relatively green and inexperienced, Willis and Davis put on one of the most exciting bouts of the night, swinging for the fences in nearly every second of the single-round contest.

After the bout, BKFC co-owner McGregor went inside the ring, congratulated Willis for the KO win, and proceeded to raise both men's hands in the air. Both men showed grit rare in fighters more experienced than them.

Speaking in The Boys in the Back segment of The Ariel Helwani Show on YouTube, Willis revealed what McGregor said to him and Davis in the ring:

"He [McGregor] shook my hurting hand [laughs] but he [said], 'good performance'. Then he grabbed ben [Davis] and brought Ben over and raised both our hands and he said, 'You're both warriors. You can both speak on this game in ways that other media can't'"

The bout may have been agreed upon inside the BKFC ring, as recounted by Dan Hooker himself in a separate interview after the event. The two seemed to be cordial with each other and respectfully agreed to meet in the octagon.

While no official booking has been made by the UFC yet, the promotion's president Dana White went on record to say that he likes this match-up. During a post-fight media scrum for Dana White's Contender Series, the UFC president said of a possible McGregor-Hooker showdown:

“That would be a great fight. I like that fight.”
