“The real champ” - Lightweight kickboxing king Alexis Nicolas hyped up for his world title rematch against Regian Eersel
Alexis Nicolas believes there's only one rightful owner of the ONE lightweight kickboxing world title. The French star will defend his throne against Regian Eersel, the previous champion, in the main event of ONE Fight Night 25 on Oct. 4, U.S. primetime, at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium.
Taking to Instagram, Nicolas stated that he's ready for his world title defense and only he should be called the ONE lightweight kickboxing world champion.

Nicolas is a perfect 24-0 in his professional career and had a stellar debut in ONE Championship when he dominated Magomed Magomedov this past January. That victory earned 'Barboza' a shot at Eersel and the ONE lightweight kickboxing world title at ONE Fight Night 21.
Eersel was an utter force of nature heading into his first matchup against Nicolas in April this year, but the French star showed that he has the power to send anyone down to the canvas.
After a slow back-and-forth first round, Nicolas decided to go for the jugular in the second and dropped Eersel with an overhand right that sent the Bangkok crowd into a frenzy..
Eersel managed to stage a late comeback in the five-round affair, but Nicolas' knockdown in the second round proved pivotal on the judges' scorecards.
Nicolas now has a chance to further establish his rule over the division and claim another win over one of this generation's best strikers.
ONE Fight Night 25, just like all of ONE Championship's Amazon cards, is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
Alexis Nicolas plans to build a superstar career with ONE Championship
Alexis Nicolas isn't content with just holding the ONE lightweight kickboxing world title.
While being a world champion is every fighter's dream, Nicolas knows it's what he does as a champion that will separate him from the rest of the pack.
Nicolas said in an interview with ONE Championship that he wants to break through his ceiling and achieve superstardom with the promotion:
"I have to become a superstar in France and in all of the world. Now, I am in France, but I want to do the same thing in Thailand, all over the world, in the U.S."
