"The skills are going to be different" - 'Reug Reug' vows to bring a new package vs. Anatoly Malykhin at ONE 169
Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane is confident that in his biggest fight to date, he will show clear improvements across the board.
The heavyweight MMA contender has been a part of ONE Championship's roster for close to four years now. During that time, we have seen him improve and evolve with each fight, especially in recent times.
Following his first and only loss in the promotion to Kirill Grishenko back in April of 2021, Kane was able to bounce back even stronger with four consecutive wins.
Now, at ONE 169 on Nov. 8, he gets the chance to compete for the ONE heavyweight world championship when he collides with Anatoly Malykhin at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The challenger is confident that he has the skills and attributes to cause the undefeated champion some big problems.
He also believes that he has raised the bar of what he's capable of for this fight, telling ONE Championship in a recent interview that the best version of 'Reug Reug' will be in action on Nov. 8:
"It's not the same thing as any of my previous fights. The mentality is different. The power is different. The skills are going to be different."
'Reug Reug' will need to be at his best to beat Anatoly Malykhin
Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane isn't just promising that it'll be the best version of him at ONE 169, he needs it to be.
Anatoly Malykhin and his current momentum will take some stopping if Kane is going to leave Lumpinee Stadium with the heavyweight world title.
It's clear that both men possess the power to close the show at any second and the fight could come down to who lands clean first.
What Kane needs to be prepared for is if he can't land big on Malykhin early because as we've seen in the past, the Russian doesn't slow down.
