Theo Von's take on USA banning TikTok to cover up "genocide in Palestine" draws reaction from veteran MMA personality

Comedian Theo Von has ignited discussion with his claim that the U.S. government's push to ban TikTok is an attempt to suppress conversations about the conflict in Palestine.

Speaking on his This Past Weekend podcast, Von suggested that the government’s national security argument was a cover for silencing discourse.

He said:

“So I don't believe that. I believe that they don't want people sharing the truth about the genocide in Palestine, and that's why that they're doing it. I believe that that's what it is. And TikTok is one of those places where people can still do that."

Von’s remarks have drawn significant reactions, including support from veteran MMA commentator Luke Thomas. On social media, Thomas wrote:

“This is not a conspiracy theory. This is precisely what happened. He’s unequivocally correct.”

Theo Von shared reason behind inviting Donald Trump to his podcast

Theo Von recently shared the reasons behind inviting Donald Trump to appear on his podcast, This Past Weekend. Known for hosting a diverse array of guests, Von revealed during an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience that he sought a deeper, more personal conversation with the President-elect.

Von explained that he wanted to know more about Trump’s brother Fred Trump Jr., passing away due to his alcohol addiction on a personal level.

"I just want to be able to have a chance to talk to this guy...I knew that [Donald] Trump's brother suffered from addiction...And I looked into it and it's like, okay...his brother died of addiction. So I was like, 'Well, that's interesting to me'. And I wonder if there's more to Donald Trump, like, is there more of a way to talk with him about something that...try to get more of an emotional well to him than it seems like that's in the public."
