“There are levels to this game” - Jarred Brooks says he is a cut above the competition
Former ONE strawweight MMA world champion and current first-ranked strawweight MMA contender 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks of the United States is not with a lack of confidence.
The 31-year-old Mash Fight Team representative has an unwavering belief in his ability to defeat any man he's in the cage with. And he has a message for all would-be opponents ahead of his highly anticipated return next week.
He told South China Morning Post in a recent interview:
"I pay attention to everyone at Fight Nights so all those guys that are coming up, man, I understand that you're trying to be in the place that I am, but dude, I've worked so, so hard, and there are steps and there are levels to this game."
'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks is set to lock horns with no.3-ranked 'El Gladiador' Gustavo Balart for the ONE interim strawweight MMA world title in the main event at ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs. Balart on Prime Video.

Jarred Brooks no longer fights for titles or money: "Doing this for her, that’s what it's about"
'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks is a new man heading into his highly anticipated return to action against Gustavo Balart at ONE Fight Night 24 on Prime Video next week.
The 31-year-old says he now fights for something far greater than himself -- his daughter Naomi.
Brooks told SCMP MMA:
"Doing this for her, that’s what it's about. It’s not about money or anything. My dream to become a world champion has already been fulfilled, but I want to continue upgrading myself and test myself against the very best in ONE Championship."
