“There’s highs and lows” - Jacob Smith expects to ‘bounce back’ in the best way in Rodtang rematch

ONE Championship flyweight Muay Thai world title challenger Jacob Smith of the United Kingdom is seeking career redemption in the world's largest martial arts organization.

The 32-year-old Bad Company / Thaifist representative has gone 1-2 since joining ONE in 2022, dropping significant defeats to big names 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon and 'The Bosnian Menace' Denis Puric.

But Smith believes he is only one fight away from turning things around in a big way.

In a recent interview with the South China Morning Post, Smith discussed the ebb and flow of a fighter's life and how the most important thing is getting up when you're down.

The United Kingdom star said:

"You just have to accept that when you do this sport. It’s just as simple as that - there’s highs and lows. It’s important that when the lows do come, you bounce back from them."

Smith will get his shot at redemption this weekend when he heads into a big rematch against divisional king Rodtang in front of the Thai's hometown crowd.

If Smith can defeat the Thai icon, the sky's the limit for the British bruiser.
