"There's not much holes in his game" - Jacob Smith stacks praise on "well-rounded" Rodtang ahead of ONE 169 rematch

Jacob Smith hasn't let himself lose focus of the major obstacle that he has been working his way towards for some time. The Brit is gearing up for the biggest fight of his career on his return to action at ONE 169 on Nov. 8.

In his ONE Championship debut, Smith collided with the Thai superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon and came up short in a fight that taught him a lot of key lessons. The two men are now set to run it back at Bangkok's legendary Lumpinee Stadium with the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship on the line.

Jacob Smith isn't allowing himself to become influenced by some of the recent performances that we have seen from 'The Iron Man'.

The No. 3-ranked challenger is expecting the world champion to be at his best, like he was the first time they met. That means facing an elite competitor, as he revealed in a recent interview with the South China Morning Post:

"You know what, there's not much holes in his game. I think he's a very, very well-rounded fighter when he's on it. And I do think that for this camp, he has been on it."

Jacob Smith believes he brings the best out of Rodtang

Though Jacob Smith may have suffered a defeat to Rodtang in the past, he believes that he got the best of 'The Iron Man' back in 2022. The Brit is expecting the same kind of focus from 'The Iron Man' when they run it back at ONE 169.

This time, he's more than ready for it.

Jacob Smith was overwhelmed on his ONE Championship debut. But now, he's confident that he can compete with the world champion and global superstar.

There's only one way to find out and that's to see them trade strikes once again at one of the biggest events of the year inside the 'Mecca of Muay Thai'.
