Reigning and undisputed ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon of Thailand isn't taking former opponent Jacob Smith lightly, despite having already beaten the United Kingdom man.
Rodtang is set to rematch Smith at ONE 169: Atlanta later this year, with his Muay Thai gold on the line.
'The Iron Man' says Smith has improved greatly since their last meeting, and he's not going to underestimate his opponent.
He told Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview:
"He's been evolving, improving every day. There's no reason to underestimate him although I have won against him before."
Rodtang and Smith first locked horns at ONE 157 last May 2022. 'The Iron Man' delivered a savage beatdown on Smith that night, battering the Englishman from pillar to post for three whole rounds.
In the end, the Thai megastar came away with a unanimous decision victory.
Smith has scored a first-round knockout of Walter Goncalves since losing to Rodtang two years ago, showing immense improvement.
Now, the two are set to lock horns once again.
