"There are things that me and my coach have picked up" - Jackie Buntan keeping Anissa Meksen's flaws close to her chest

Jackie Buntan is making sure to pull out all the stops ahead of her next outing under the ONE Championship banner.

The Filipino-American striker has competed in some high-profile bouts in the past, and this experience will aid her ahead of Nov. 8.

During her time in ONE Championship, Buntan has proved herself to be one of the top competitors in the strawweight Muay Thai division. However, at ONE 169, she will make the switch to kickboxing to face off with Anissa Meksen for the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world championship.

Along with making sure that she can seamlessly make this transition to take on an experienced opponent in Meksen, Buntan and her team have been checking off their homework.

Jackie Buntan believes that she will be able to exploit some gaps in the game of her opponent but for now, she's keeping her cards hidden, as she told Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview:

"I just wanna say there are things that me and my coach have picked up on that we're able to implement in my game plan."

Jackie Buntan can certainly pose threats to Anissa Meksen

Jackie Buntan is massively outmatched in this fight when it comes to the experience competing in kickboxing that Anissa Meksen brings to the table.

However, that doesn't mean she can't pose her opponent new threats that she may not be able to deal with. As a high-level Muay Thai striker, we've seen that Buntan brings some serious punching power to the table.

When coming up against the output of Meksen, this could be the difference between the two women.

Using her reads both before and in the fight to land big shots will be absolutely crucial for Buntan if she aims to leave Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, with the gold.
