"These guys talk s**t but don't go through with it" - Mikey Musumeci calls out Diogo Reis anew after submitting Gabriel Sousa

After taking out one of the names on his hit list, ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci has made it clear that he still wants a piece of Diogo Reis.

'Darth Rigatoni' made a stunning bantamweight debut at ONE 167 last weekend, where he forced the remarkable Gabriel Sousa to yield with a nasty calf slicer.

An animated Musumeci spoke to the media in the post-event press conference, sharing that he was supposed to grapple 'Baby Shark.' The Evolve MMA star said:

"I had to wait seven months for this match with Gabriel. That's the only thing I respect him for is taking this match, because I was supposed to have a match with ADCC Champion Baby Shark, then he wouldn't do it because of the drug test."

Moreover, Musumeci insisted that most adversaries who call him out are unable to walk the talk. He continued:

"He still wouldn't do it and did Who's Number One instead. So then I fought the second place ADCC champion. All these f***ing guys just talk s**t but they dont go throught with it. They wouldn't even come here."

Meanwhile, a Diogo Reis versus Mikey Musumeci showdown in the Circle was teased earlier on, but did not materialize. In the meantime, the American grappling savant will shift his focus to fellow ONE world champion Kade Ruotolo.

Musumeci will move up three divisions to challenge the lightweight submission grappling king at ONE 168: Denver on September 6.

Mikey Musumeci's fired-up reaction after getting even with Gabriel Sousa

We all saw how scary Mikey Musumeci can be at ONE 167. The affable BJJ superstar was a complete monster against Sousa, rendering him helpless before finishing him off with a well-calculated trap.

However, it was his uncharacteristic profanity-laced interview with Mitch Chilson that turned a lot of heads. Musumeci had this to say to his doubters:

"Everyone talking crap like, 'Oooh, you couldn't beat him. There's no way. He's a division heavier than you'. I just submitted him easy as f**k."
