“They have every trick in the book” - Jarred Brooks says Tye and Kade Ruotolo’s grappling is ‘special’

Jarred Brooks has nothing, but respect for the skills that BJJ duo Tye and Kade Ruotolo put on display inside the Circle.

With a combined record of 14-0 since making their dual debuts in May 2022, the Ruotolo brothers have bested some of the biggest names in the game, including Garry Tonon, Shinya Aoki, Tommy Langaker, Marat Gafurov, Dagi Arslanaliev, and Reinier de Ridder.

Along the way, both of the 21-year-old BJJ wizards have captured ONE Championship gold with Kade Ruotolo taking home the ONE lightweight submission grappling world championship while Tye Ruotolo later claimed the ONE welterweight submission grappling crown.

Offering his thoughts on the Ruotolo during an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, former ONE strawweight MMA world titleholder Jarred Brooks sang the praises of the Atos Jiu-Jitsu products, saying:

"With the Ruotolos, I feel that a lot of people think that they’d have them, but no, they already got you, bro. Their level is up there. They have every trick in the book, and that’s what makes them special. What they do out there, man, it’s insane."

Jarred Brooks ready to reclaim gold after unfortunate DQ loss in his last outing

Having lost the strawweight MMA strap due to an unfortunate DQ less than 60 seconds into his world title scrap with Joshua Pacio at ONE 166 in Qatar, Jarred Brooks will have the opportunity to once again claim 26 pounds of gold on Friday, August 2.

Returning to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, 'The Monkey God' will square off with streaking Cuban sensation Gustavo Balart in a bout to crown an interim ONE strawweight MMA world champion.

While Brooks will be looking to bounce back from a disqualification defeat, 'El Gladiador' will step into the spotlight at ONE Fight Night 24 riding a four-fight win streak, including a noteworthy win over fourth-ranked contender Hiroba Minowa.

If he can score his fifth straight on martial arts' biggest global stage, Balart will be able to call himself a ONE world champion for the first time in his illustrious career.

ONE Championship fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE Fight Night 24 live and for free via Amazon Prime Video in U.S. primetime on Friday, August 2.
