“They’ll just brawl with each other” - Lito Adiwang predicts a furious exchange between Jarred Brooks and Gustavo Balart

Lito Adiwang believes Jarred Brooks' interim title tilt with Gustavo Balart could turn into an all-out brawl.

Emanating from the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, August 2, ONE Fight Night 24 will feature an interim ONE strawweight world championship headliner pitting former titleholder Jarred Brooks against streaking Cuban sensation Gustavo Balart in a first-time meeting.

Over the years, Brooks and Balart have combined for 32 career wins, 21 of them coming by way of decision courtesy of their world-class wrestling skills.

With both men ready to bring their grappling A-game to the Mecca of Muay Thai on Friday night, 'Thunder Kid' Lito Adiwang believes the two strawweight warriors could say screw it and decide to settle things on the feet instead of playing to each others' strengths.

"What could happen is just they’ll just brawl with each other, hoping that someone will get a finish," Adiwang said in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA.

Jarred Brooks ready for anything Gustavo Balart throws at him

Before suffering his first loss under the ONE Championship banner in March, Jarred Brooks was a perfect 4-0 inside the Circle with wins over a series of top-ranked contenders, including Bokang Masunyane, Hiroba Minowa, and reigning ONE strawweight MMA world champion Joshua Pacio.

Despite never having squared off with Gustavo Balart ahead of their upcoming clash at ONE Fight Night 24, 'The Monkey God' is confident that he can handle anything 'El Gladiador' throws at him.

However, he can't say the same for Balart when he comes to the tricks he has up his own sleeve.

"He's fast, he's explosive, and covers range super quick, so I have to be ready for those type of surprises," Brooks told Sherdog. "But I don't think Gustavo will be ready for the type of surprises I will bring to him."

ONE Championship fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE Fight Night 24 live and for free via Amazon Prime Video in U.S. primetime on Friday, August 2.
