"They're always up to something" - Jarred Brooks believes Kade Ruotolo and Mikey Musumeci will go full throttle in Denver
Former ONE strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks believes Kade Ruotolo and Mikey Musumeci will hold nothing back in their submission grappling super fight at ONE 168: Denver on September 6.
That evening inside the Ball Arena, 'Darth Rigatoni' moves up three weight divisions in a bid to claim Ruotolo's lightweight crown and become the promotion's first two-division king in the discipline.
The ONE flyweight submission grappling king has looked unstoppable throughout his tenure in the promotion, and while many see him claiming another big scalp in the sport, his dance partner is on a similar path of destruction.
Brooks, in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, weighed in on the ONE lightweight submission grappling world championship duel that should go down as one of the most iconic grappling matchups in history:
"With Ruotolo and Mikey, you have two of the best there is. So, bro, it's just going to be action non-stop. Do you think they're ever going to let a second go to waste? I don't think so.
"They're always up to something and that will be the same in Denver."

Kade Ruotolo and Mikey Musumeci's form heading into Denver super fight
The pair of ONE submission grappling world champions head into their massive Denver tilt on a combined 14-0 run - split evenly - under the promotional banner.
Kade Ruotolo, who defends his gold in the Mile High City, debuted on the global stage with a unanimous decision victory over Japanese MMA legend Shinya Aoki at ONE 157 in May 2022.
Since then, the Atos representative has claimed two submission wins to his resume against Francisco Lo and Uali Kurzhev and three additional decision triumphs over Tommy Langaker (twice) and Matheus Gabriel.
In his last outing at ONE 167, Kade Ruotolo made a successful transition to the MMA realm, where he earned a first-round face crank victory against Blake Cooper.
Meanwhile, Musumeci's submission-hunting mindset has seen him draw taps from Masakazu Imanari, Osamah Almarwai, Jarred Brooks, Shinya Aoki, and Gabriel Sousa.
The Evolve MMA athlete's pair of unanimous decision wins inside the ONE circle came against Gantumur Bayanduuren and Cleber Sousa.
