“They still love it, so it’s great” - Aung La N Sang happy to see his children fall in love with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Aung La N Sang is proud to see his children embarking on their own martial arts journey.

For the former two-division ONE world champion, martial arts has indeed become a family affair, with his son and nephew creating waves in local Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions.

Aung La N Sang is proud to see the youngsters winning, but he’s happier to see them truly enjoying BJJ.

He told ONE Championship about the friendship these children forged on the mats ahead of his match against Shamil Erdogan at the epic ONE 168: Denver card on September 6.

'The Burmese Python' said:

“They’re progressing. They’re doing really good. I think in a couple of years they’re going to be pretty good. But there’s a lot of work to be done. They train like six days a week. They still love it, so it’s great."

He added:

“If they don’t love it, then it’d be something else, right? It becomes like a chore. But they really love it. They enjoy training, and they enjoy that camaraderie and the friendship that they built through training.”

Aung La N Sang says stamina will be important in his fight in Denver

For that reason, 'The Burmese Python' believes that stamina is extremely crucial for him at this stage, like he said in his latest YouTube video:

"Striking and grappling cardios are very different. Even if you’re at 100 percent striking cardio, your grappling cardio might not be there. So you want to make sure both cardios are on point."
