“They’ve done great things” - Liam Harrison describes ONE Championship as a true game-changer in Muay Thai
Liam Harrison loves what ONE Championship has done for the sport of Muay Thai.
It's been more than two years since fight fans have seen the 'Hitman' in action. That all changes on Friday, September 6, when the one-time ONE world title challenger returns to the Circle for a highly anticipated showdown with Thai icon Seksan Or Kwanmuang at ONE 168: Denver
Weeks away from his long-awaited comeback, Harrison made an appearance on The FullerWatt Podcast.
While there, the UK fan favorite discussed the growth of Muay Thai around the world and credited ONE Championship and its recent partnership with Sky Sports with making the art of eight limbs available to millions of viewers worldwide.
"It's exciting innit? The production’s great, it’s on Sky Sports now, it’s all over the world," Harrison said. "So yeah, it is amazing like all the production, the fight week, all the media, you’ve got the entire world watching. They’ve done great things for Muay Thai."
Will Seksan spoil Liam Harrison's comeback at ONE 168: Denver?
After suffering a devastating knee injury in his ONE world title clash with Nong-O Hama at ONE on Prime Video 1, Harrison will look to get back into the win column as he embarks on his final run before hanging up his gloves for good.
Hoping to spoil his big return will be Seksan, a 201-win veteran who took ONE Championship's Friday Fights series by storm in 2023. 'The Man Who Yields To Know One' ran through the competition, earning eight straight wins, including highlight-reel knockouts against Sean Clancy and Isaac Araya.
He'll look to land the biggest win of his career and snatch a spot in the bantamweight Muay Thai rankings with a victory over Harrison in The Mile High City.
