Tyron Woodley staying ready to face Jake Paul a third time if Anderson Silva pulls out, reveals current weight
Tyron Woodley is seemingly ready to be Anderson Silva's backup for the upcoming Jake Paul fight. Woodley recently expressed his willingness to step in while also revealing his current weight.
'The Chosen One' claims to be 193 lbs, six pounds above the catchweight limit of 187 lbs, which Silva and Paul have agreed to. With his veteran experience in weight cutting, Woodley should be able to cut six pounds in a day if need be. The former UFC welterweight champ wrote on Twitter:
"Weighed 193 today. Guess I'll be flying to Arizona today. Send the Pj #third timesacharm"

Woodley already has two losses against Paul, which according to many are a blot on his otherwise excellent career. While he was expected to dominate Paul, 'The Chosen One' came up on the short side of a controversial split decision in their first outing in August last year.
'The Problem Child' proved his haters wrong in a rematch later that year, knocking out Woodley flush in the sixth round.
Tyron Woodley talks about Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva
Tyron Woodley was expected to be the man to stop the surging Jake Paul, who had more detractors than supporters in the combat sports world back then. While that may or may not have changed now, people certainly hold similar expectations from Paul's next opponent, Anderson Silva.
Having been in Silva's shoes, Woodley knows that people really want to see Paul humbled by 'The Spider'. But the former UFC welterweight champion sees 'The Problem Child' merely as a kid with little to no responsibilities in life. The 40-year-old said on MMA Fighting's The Fighter vs. The Writer:
"I know a lot of people want to see Jake Paul get beat up and see him taught a lesson like a bully on a playground. But he really is a kid, not very much responsibility, no financial limitations, energy, he makes everything a bucket list, a challenge."
However, 'The Chosen One' insists that 'The Problem Child' is not to be underestimated. Whether we like it or not, Woodley has learnt that Paul certainly brings some skill to the table:
“He’s training his ass off. He’s got KO power and he’s learned to throw that particular punch that he’s got timing on.”
