"This is scary as sh*t" - Former UFC fighter rips into Hillary Clinton over suggesting jailing Americans for posting misinformation

Retired MMA fighter Ben Askren responded to a viral video of Hillary Clinton's questionable statement on taking action against people spreading misinformation. Askren is the former Bellator and ONE FC champion, who competed in the UFC in the twilight of his professional MMA career. He was considered one of the best MMA fighters competing outside the UFC for a long time.

In a recent interview with MSNBC, Hillary Clinton shared her thoughts on the course of action against people spreading misinformation/fake news, saying:

"There are also Americans who are engaged in this kind of propaganda. Whether they should be civilly, or in some cases, criminally charged, is something that would be a better deterrent."

The video clip of her statement was re-posted by @EndWokeness on X. Askren reacted to the post, writing:

"She’s talking about putting people in Jail for fake news. She literally paid people to create a fake “Russian interference” narrative in 2016. They don’t want to put you in jail bc you are sharing something incorrect, they want to put you in jail bc you aren’t on the same team as them. This is scary as sh**."

Ben Askren seemingly agrees with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s statement on the state of Washington D.C. and its institutions

Former United States President Donald Trump has used the term "Drain the Swamp in Washington D.C." as a signature phrase in his presidential campaign, implying the need to bring about large-scale changes in the government's organizational structure and various institutions.

Askren recently re-posted a video of politician Robert F. Kennedy Jr. giving a detailed explanation of Trump's signature phrase, appearing to seemingly agree with the claims: In the video, Kennedy says:

"His instinct is spot on. The problem is Washington, it's not just about a few corrupt individuals. It's a whole crooked system. It's the federal agencies, it's the lobbyists, it's the think tanks and research organizations. It's the university the academic groups and the media. It's the organizations that have captured these agencies and turned them into sock puppets for the industries they're supposed to regulate."

He added:

"I've spent almost 40 years, seeing almost all of the agencies and the industries. I know the names, in many of these agencies, of the bad actors who need to be moved out."
