“This is you” - Grappling machine ‘Reug Reug’ promises to put Anatoly Malykhin in a brutal submission at world title clash in Atlanta
Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane just ramped up the trash talk to build as much animosity against Anatoly Malykhin.
The Senegalese grappling machine has a chance at gold when he challenges Malykhin for the ONE heavyweight MMA world title in one of the featured fights of ONE 169: Atlanta.
Ahead of their showdown at State Farm Arena on November 8, Kane practically promised to break the triple-champ's neck in pieces when they're locked inside the Circle.
'Reug Reug' shared on Instagram a video from ONE Championship where he snapped a baseball bat as if it was made of wet paper.
He posted:
"When I grab your neck, this is you 🤪 @anmalykhin."
Kane and Malykhin have been going at it for several months now, and their feud could reach its tipping point in Atlanta when ONE Championship stages its second event in the United States this year.
'Reug Reug' is on a strong run of form with three straight wins against Batradz Gazzaev, Jazur Mirzamukhamedov, and BJJ legend Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida.
Malykhin, though, could be the toughest fight of his MMA career.
'Sladkiy' is the first simultaneous three-division world champion in MMA history. He holds the ONE middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight MMA world titles.
The Russian knockout machine is coming off a stunning third-round stoppage win over Reinier de Ridder for the middleweight MMA throne at ONE 166: Qatar in March this year.
The pre-sale registration for ONE 169: Atlanta tickets is now open to fans.
Anatoly Malykhin downplays threats 'Reug Reug' has issued in the buildup to ONE 169: Atlanta
Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane can sometimes go unhinged in his trash talk of Anatoly Malykhin, but the three-division MMA world champion doesn't balk at the threats one bit.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Malykhin completely downplayed Kane and said the wrestling machine would be an easy target once they're locked inside the Circle.
"'Reug Reug' usually falls apart after the first anyway -- hands drop, starts grabbing at the opponent's shorts or gloves. Kind of a dirty fighter, really. No real threat, though."
