“Time to make it real” - Coach John Hutchinson says his student Anatoly Malykhin will show ‘Reug Reug’ the power of a champion
Coach John Hutchinson has seen the disrespect and vowed that his student Anatoly Malykhin would show Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane the power of a true world champion.
Malykhin will defend the ONE heavyweight MMA world title against Kane in the main event of the stacked ONE 169 card on Nov. 8, US primetime, at the historic Lumpinee Stadium.
'Reug Reug' has been calling Malykhin a "fake champion" constantly on Instagram, and it seems Hutchinson has had enough.
Taking to Instagram, Tiger Muay Thai's head boxing coach posted:
"Imagination and hard work brought us here, but this is no fantasy. We're about to show what Super Champ status means. @onechampionship 169, November 9th Bangkok 🇹🇭, Anatoly vs. Reug Reug. Time to make it real! #DreamsAreReal #KOTime #SuperChamp #ONEChampionship #WorldChampion #1 #AllTheBelts"
Anatoly Malykhin was seen as an undefeated prospect when he arrived at ONE Championship in March 2021.
While a perfect 8-0 is nothing to be scoffed at, Malykhin became an absolute monster under the watchful eye of Hutchinson.
The Irish coach was the first to develop Malykhin's natural knockout power despite the Russian star being a Master of Sport in Freestyle Wrestling in his native Russia.
Malykhin chalked up a perfect 6-0 record in ONE Championship with all six wins coming via knockout.
Hutchinson was also the chief voice in Malykhin's corner when 'Sladkiy' captured the ONE middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight MMA world titles.
Malykhin now heads to his first world title defense when he puts his heavyweight MMA throne on the line against Kane in Bangkok.
ONE 169 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
Russian star Mansur Malachiev believes Anatoly Malykhin will retain the gold against Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane
Mansur Malachiev is confident compatriot Anatoly Malykhin will leave Lumpinee Stadium with the ONE heavyweight MMA world title firmly resting on his shoulder.
The Dagestani grappling machine said in an interview with Nick Atkin that Malykhin operates on a level above Kane, and it's certain 'Sladkiy' will keep his status as a three-division king.
Malachiev said:
"I'm quite sure that Anatoly will win because he is a machine. He’s just on another level. I’m 99 percent sure that Malykhin will win that fight."
