“To say that he is not talented is impossible” - Petchtanong not underestimating Russian star Alaverdi Ramazanov

Petchtanong Petchfergus and Alaverdi Ramazanov will be the two former ONE bantamweight kickboxing kings fighting for a chance to regain their thrones at ONE Friday Fights 68.

Either one of these stars will most likely be the next in line to challenge the division's ruler, Jonathan Haggerty, in the near future, which makes this fight a crucial one.

Althought this would be Petchtanong's first appearance after nearly two years at the sidelines, he's still one of the most prolific strikers coming from Thailand, and he has a chance to prove it against the formidable Russian Ramazanov.

The Superbon Training Camp star acknowledged his rival's talents in an interview with ONE Championship:

“I don’t see any weaknesses. He was the inaugural ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion before me. To say that he is not talented is impossible. If he wasn’t good, he wouldn’t have been the first World Champion."

With that much at stake, it is clear that this fight will be a barnburner and a possible route to find who's next for Jonathan Haggerty.

ONE Friday Fights 68 is airing live in Asian primetime and available via pay-per-view here.

Nonetheless, the Thai veteran is confident that he would be able to take on whatever Ramazanov brings to the table, as he said to ONE Championship in a recent interview:

"Alaverdi's strengths are that he is an agile and quick athlete. He is skilled. He can throw punches and kicks really fast. And he has quick footwork in and out."

More than ever, we would find out who could be the next to challenge Jonathan Haggerty when they clash for the first time at ONE Friday Fights 68.
