Tom Aspinall goes in on Jon Jones in his new hilarious skit: "Where are you Jon Jones?"
Tom Aspinall successfully defended his interim heavyweight title for the first time when he defeated Curtis Blaydes via first-round TKO in the co-main event of UFC 304 last month. He has continued to call out Jon Jones in an attempt to get the heavyweight champion to face him in a title unification bout.
The No.1-ranked heavyweight once again applied pressure on Tuesday as he shared a skit on his Instagram targeting 'Bones'.
The clip begins with UFC CEO Dana White stating that if you put Jones in a room with anyone, he will be the one walking out. Aspinall proceeds to unsuccessfully attempt to track Jones down before labeling him as a duck. The clip ends with a photoshopped image of 'Bones' matched up with United States president Joe Biden and an old X post in which he claimed that fighters aren't true champions until they defend the belt.
The interim heavyweight champion captioned the post, saying:
"Where are you @jonnybones 👀 🦆 Is it time for retirement? 🤔 . #ufc #reels #reelsviral #funnyvideos #tomaspinall #jonjones"

Jones had been set to defend his title against Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 last November, with the plan to retire afterward. He was forced to withdraw from the bout, however, after tearing the tendon that connects his pectoral muscle to the bone. The injury opened the door for Aspinall to claim the interim heavyweight title, which he has since defended. It is unclear if 'Bones' will delay his retirement plans for a title unification bout.
Tom Aspinall responds to Jon Jones hinting at retirement
Jon Jones continued to hint at retirement on Tuesday as he let off a series of X posts reiterating his stance that he will not change his plans. He later noted his legendary career before joining sports legends such as Tom Brady and Floyd Mayweather in retirement.
Tom Aspinall took note of the latter comment and responded on his Instagram story, stating:
"Wonder if it was that video or my fighting that retired him? 🤔 Please make sure you pass me the belt on the way out of the octagon if you beat Biden 👍"

Jones, Stipe Miocic, and UFC CEO Dana White have not wavered in their stance that they will not cancel the planned bout at UFC 309 in November. Meanwhile, Aspinall will likely continue to put pressure on 'Bones' to delay his retirement plans.
