Tom Brady shares inspiring speech to Jon Jones ahead of UFC 285 headliner
Jon Jones can make history and take home heavyweight gold in his main event clash with Ciryl Gane at UFC 285. A fellow elite athlete Tom Brady has shared a short clip of his thoughts ahead of the matchup.
The consensus best quarterback of all time is a big fan of the sport and seemingly an even bigger fan of 'Bones' himself. The seven-time Super Bowl champion saw almost nothing but success during his time in the NFL before eventually cementing his retirement on February 1, 2023.
In a post on social media, Tom Brady wished good luck to Jon Jones, admitting that despite the former light heavyweight champion being one of the best to grace the octagon, he is in for a tough night against Gane.
"Hey, Jon. I wanted to say welcome back to the main stage. It's great to see the GOAT doing what he does best and doing what he's meant to do. So I thought seven titles was a lot, you've doubled it, man! I know tonight's not gonna be easy, Ciryl Gane standing on the other side of that octagon, he's a bad man. It's gonna be an incredible fight, Dana knows how to put on a great show, as always, and I wouldn't miss this one for the world."
Excluding the disqualification loss to Matt Hamill, Ciryl Gane could put his name down in history by becoming the first man to ever defeat Jones in a mixed martial arts contest.
