Top UFC light heavyweight looking to join Jon Jones' gym after replacing entire team following Magomed Ankalaev loss

Jon Jones may be of great assistance to a standout light heavyweight contender who is looking to rebound from a setback.

The fighter in question is Aleksandar Rakic who sustained a unanimous decision defeat against Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 308 in October.

That loss marked the third straight defeat for Rakic following earlier losses to Jan Blachowicz and Jiri Prochazka. In a report from Triangle TV, which was later shared on Instagram via Black Belt MMAA and Ground Nd Pound, they claimed that Rakic had replaced his entire team following the Ankalaev contest.

The source material they were going off of was a YouTube video from Rakic's channel. The 32-year-old took the time to thank his now-former team and intends to visit gyms around the world with a Wednesday trek to Thailand set to kick off this global training excursion. Providing some clarification in the comment section of the Instagram post, Rakic stated:

"Still not in contact with Jones and his team.... My plans are in future to contact them and to go there to train if its possible. OSU!!!"

Jon Jones' five-year plan post-UFC 309

Jon Jones initially teased retiring following his win inside Madison Square Garden over Stipe Miocic to defend his heavyweight crown at UFC 309. However, Jones is not expected to ride into the sunset just yet, as he recently touched on a timeline that he has mapped out for himself over the next half-decade.

The 37-year-old offered up these insights during a unique interview that saw him answer questions of host Alex Gonzalez while driving a Bugatti. As he discussed his plans, Jones did say that his next outing could potentially be his last but he has his sights set on possibly two more bouts in the UFC.

'Bones' also specifically outlined his aspirations to make the most money he possibly can during this remaining one-two fight stretch. Jones also expressed his desire to venture into acting and quipped about how he has long had Hollywood dreams.
