"True shonen hero" - Fans more than excited for Takeru's impending return against Thant Zin at ONE Friday Fights 81

ONE Championship fans are looking forward to seeing Japanese kickboxing megastar Takeru Segawa go toe-to-toe with Thant Zin under flyweight kickboxing rules at ONE Friday Fights 81 on Friday, Sept. 27, inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Just before 'The Natural Born Crusher' returns to the circle, ONE Championship shared snippets of Takeru's training sessions over the past few months on Instagram:

In his promotional debut this past January at ONE 165, Takeru challenged Superlek Kiatmoo9 for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship in what many have christened as the best kickboxing fight of the year.

Though he ultimately failed to dethrone 'The Kicking Machine', Takeru's display of heart and class after the fight had fans and fighters showering him with praise.

Takeru gunning for knockout win at ONE Friday Fights 81

Takeru hopes to reward fans for their support by knocking out Thant Zin at ONE Friday Fights 81 on Friday, Sept. 27, inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Team Vasileus product said in an interview with the South China Morning Post:

"I'm very glad to be back, and I'm very excited to fight at ONE Friday Fights this Friday. I [want to produce] a knockout in front of the fans."
