"Try being on the mats with Mikey" - Here's why affable champion Mikey Musumeci is the true definition of 'scary'

'Darth Rigatoni' Mikey Musumeci may not have the body of a bodybuilder, but he is definitely a force to be reckoned with due to his insane grappling expertise.

The 27-year-old superstar went viral on Instagram this week after he was compared to society's definition of 'scary,' versus what the combat sports community regards as 'scary.'

ONE Championship released the clip on their home page with the caption that said:

"Try being on the mats with Mikey Musumeci. Will 'Darth Rigatoni' be crowned a two-division titleholder when he steps up to challenge lightweight submission grappling king Kade Ruotolo at ONE 168: Denver?"

Fight fans wholeheartedly agree with ONE Championship's assessment of Mikey Musumeci's lethal personality.

The unassuming ONE flyweight submission grappling kingpin is unstoppable at the moment with an undefeated ONE 7-0 record. After making a name for himself, dominating every black belt inside and outside his bracket, he's ready to push the envelope further with another grappling world title.

Mikey Musumeci is thrilled about the challenge ahead as he prepares for war against Kade Ruotolo in Denver

Mikey Musumeci is more than just a passionate jiu-jitsu enthusiast - he's an adrenaline junkie.

The Italian-American superstar loves to do things that exhibit a lot of risk and danger. Thus far, he's never really turned down a jiu-jitsu match. Although he's mainly fought within two divisions, Musumeci is not opposed to challenging himself in a different way, just as long as it makes sense for him.

Ahead of his showdown at 155 lbs, Musumeci said on The MMA Hour:

"I'm just excited to keep improving my level of jiu-jitsu, which has grown so much. Now, I have another challenge in September. It just keeps getting crazier."
