“Two of the best actors in the game” - Fans hilariously react as UFC champion Aljamain Sterling poses with Ben Stiller
Aljamain Sterling caught up with Hollywood actor Ben Stiller during a New York Knicks basketball game on Sunday. 'Funk Master' posted a picture with the Secret life of Walter Mitty star which has become meme fodder for fight fans. Mimicking Stiller's signature 'Blue Steel' expression, the UFC bantamweight champ wrote in the caption:
"Did I nail the face?"
Sterling certainly got credit for his acting skills but not in the way he had probably expected. 'Funk Master' was mercilessly trolled by fans who labeled him an "actor" in reference to his infamous DQ title win over Petr Yan after enduring an illegal knee. @afeldMMA wrote:

Petr Yan was winning his first title fight against Sterling at UFC 259 before landing a seemingly intentional knee in the fourth round. 'Funk Master' collapsed to the canvas and was crowned champ via disqualification after being rendered unable to continue. Fans seemingly can't get over Sterling's expression of mixed emotions as he received the title at UFC 259.
However, some also credited Steling's 'Blue Steel' look.
Aljamain Sterling is open to exploring a serious acting career
Aljamain Sterling is no stranger to the big screen, having made his Hollywood debut in the movie 'The Last Operative' in 2019. However, it wasn't until recently that Sterling got a role with some lines and expressions in the movie Grace Point.
The movie is set to be released next year and will feature 'Funk Master', although not in a lead role, along with UFC coach Din Thomas. Speaking about his experience, Sterling claimed that his acting ventures will leave him with an alternate career option when he hangs up his MMA gloves for good.
The UFC bantamweight champion is also admittedly open to playing more central characters in the future. Aljamain Sterling said during an appearance on MMA Today on SiriusXM Fight Nation last year:
"I’m excited. This was my first movie, getting some actual speaking lines, and I think it’s just something to set myself up for after MMA when I do decide to hang ‘em up'...Eventually, I would like to get in those more challenging roles where: more with the facial expressions and the body mannerisms and that type of thing. I think that’s gonna make it a little bit more of an art form.” h/t mmanews.com
