"Tye was all of us" - Fans see themselves in Tye Ruotolo getting hyped for Kade Ruotolo's submission of Ahmed Mujtaba
Right after his victory against Ahmed Mujtaba in their lightweight contest at ONE 169 last week inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, Kade Ruotolo immediately watched his winning sequence backstage.
His corner, spearheaded by his twin brother, Tye, was with him during the review of the sequence. ONE Championship published this video on their Instagram account, and they wrote its caption with:
"Reliving the moment βͺ Who's next for Kade Ruotolo in MMA? @ruotolobrothersjiujitsu"
The reigning ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion was impressed with his long reach and his ability to hit Mujtaba from a great distance.
Then, when he landed the overhand right, Tye revealed that he was yelling to transition into a D'Arce choke, and that is exactly what Kade did, which got him the victory in just 64 seconds in the opening round.
Fans were also impressed by the well-rounded martial arts skills of the 21-year-old phenom, especially users @yellowhead_legacy, @orhan_erden56, @tomozos_, @jteenbillion, and @dukedoesjiujitsu, who commented:

Kade Ruotolo says that his team boosts his confidence in his MMA transition
A big secret to the seamless transition of the Atos representative to MMA was revealed during his post-event talk with the media at ONE 169.
According to Ruotolo, his coaches and team have given him so much confidence to pursue mixed martial arts and constantly improve his skills, particularly his striking, as he said:
"First of all, props to God, as well as my coaches, I really wouldn't have been able to do this without my coaches, Tyler Wombles, Eric Paulson, and my brother. They're giving me so much confidence on the feet, and changing me as a fighter every single day."
