Dana White reveals why "now is the right time" for venturing into the sport of boxing

Dana White recently revisited why his 2017 plan to launch Zuffa Boxing didn’t materialize. The UFC CEO, known for his critical view of boxing’s operational flaws, seems set on entering the sport next year.

Back in 2017, White was deeply invested in Zuffa Boxing, even producing branded merchandise and holding discussions with high-profile boxers like Anthony Joshua. However, he ultimately decided to put the project on hold, citing timing as a crucial factor.

At a recent press conference, White explained that everything has its time, and in 2017, the timing wasn’t right. Now, he believes conditions are more favorable:

"There’s a million reasons why now is [the time]. If you notice, as far as boxing, even as much money as Sheikh Turki [Turki Alalshikh] is throwing into this thing, television deals aren’t really abundant right now. There are just a lot of things I think I can do that other people haven’t done yet."
