UFC 304 payouts: How much are Leon Edwards, Belal Muhammad, and others making? Estimated purses reported
UFC 304 is set to take place this weekend on July 27 at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England. The card is stacked with British talent, which will be headlined by Leon Edwards defending his welterweight title against Belal Muhammad.
Like any major pay-per-view on the UFC's calendar, those competing on the card are often in a position where they could potentially earn the biggest payday of their careers.
The same can be said for Muhammad in the main event, as he stands on the cusp of potentially becoming a UFC champion. When 'Rocky' and 'Remember the Name' first fought back in 2021, both men were on a base salary of $60,000. Edwards has since seen his earnings rise dramatically, however, as he has become the 170-pound champ and defended the belt on two occasions.
Per Marca, Edwards reportedly stands to have a base salary of $500,000, which will be doubled if he wins. As a champion, Edwards will also earn a share of the PPV buys. For Muhammad, the challenger is expected to have a base salary of $80,000, which could sky rocket should he emerge victorious.
Elsewhere on the card, Tom Aspinall will defend his interim heavyweight title against Curtis Blaydes. Like Edwards, Aspinall will reportedly earn a champion's base salary of $500,000 and he will also take home a portion of the UFC 304 PPV buys.
His opponent, Blaydes, earned $200,000 for his last win (including a $100,000 win bonus) and he is expected to earn the same base pay for his efforts this weekend.
What are some other fighters making at UFC 304?
Outside of the two championship bouts, UFC 304 will also see British stars such as Paddy Pimblett, Molly McCann and Arnold Allen fighting to put on a show infront of their home fans as well as take home a big purse.
Allen will open the main card in Manchester and is aiming to snap his two-fight losing skid. The British fighter will also have more of an incentive to win after he signed a new contract last year, securing him a reported minimum of $100,000 as his base salary.
Pimblett signed a lucrative new contract with promotion last year, prior to his bout against Tony Ferguson. 'The Baddy' then went on to defeat 'El Cucuy' and take home the first win under his new deal, which, per Sport Bible, reportedly saw him earn $154,000. He is expected to make the same at UFC 304.
For McCann, the 34-year-old signed a multi-fight contract back in 2021 which saw her salary rise from the base $12,000 to now a guaranteed minimum of $70,000. She will face Bruna Brasil this weekend.
