The two fighters blew the roof off the arena and delivered an exciting back-and-forth battle. Although 'The War Horse' had some moments of success, Pereira eventually emerged as the victor with a brutal knockout victory in the fourth round.

The encounter was labeled the 'Fight of the Night' for UFC 307 and both headliners received a bonus cheque of $50,000 each. The event marked 'Poatan's sixth post-fight bonus in the UFC and his first 'Fight of the Night' bonus in the promotion.

In the co-main event, Raquel Pennington had a chance to score her 14th UFC victory by defeating Julianna Pena. But 'Rocky' came up short and lost via split decision.

Former strawweight champion Carla Esparza shared the octagon against Tecia Pennington at UFC 307. Esparza lost the fight via unanimous decision and then announced her retirement from the sport.

Ryan Spann and Ovince Saint Preux went toe-to-toe in the prelims of the Oct. 5 card. The bout was a short-lived affair as Spann submitted his opponent with a guillotine choke just 95 seconds into the fight.

With the victory, 'Superman' broke his three-fight skid in the UFC. The 33-year-old's efforts also earned him a 'Performance of the Night' bonus worth $50,000.

A welterweight scrap between Joaquin Buckley and Stephen Thompson also took place on the prelims of the event. 'New Mansa' pulled off an impressive knockout victory in the third round of the fight.

With the victory, Buckley is now 5-0 in the UFC's welterweight division. He was also named among the winners of the 'Performance of the Night' bonus and received an additional sum of $50,000.
